Tailored coaching support for female talent at key transition moments in their careers and lives
Hello, I’m Seana
I’m passionate about helping to create a future where we have gender equity at all levels and where all women feel valued at work and supported to thrive in their careers and reach their full potential.
I have 17 years working in a corporate environment at Procter & Gamble followed by 12 years of consulting and training experience working with other large FMCG companies. I am qualified and accredited as both a coach and a counsellor with a successful private practice working with midlife women. I am also a facilitator and coach for a women’s leadership accelerator programme in the Data, AI and Tech sector, working with women who want to take the leap from middle management roles into senior leadership roles.
Are you an organisation that values gender equity but isn’t sure how to achieve it at all levels?
Do you want to create a more gender inclusive workplace but need guidance on where to start?
Are you looking for practical strategies to support and advance women in your organisation?
If your answer to any of these questions is yes, then I can help!
I leverage my consulting, coaching, therapy and training expertise to provide the tailored support that your female talent needs at key transition moments in their lives and their career, so that they feel valued and are more likely to stay with your company and progress successfully in their careers.
You may be interested in providing one-to-one or group workshop support for some or all of these transition moments
Early career establishment
Often women have a confidence gap vs their male peers in their early career and find it harder to speak up and make their work visible, even though they are equally as competent. Coaching can help to cultivate confidence, build resilience and overcome any limiting beliefs and fears to close the confidence and visibility gap.
Becoming a parent
This is a key moment when companies lose women from their organisations. Coaching support before, during and after maternity leave or adoption leave can help women to navigate a change of identity as well as the logistical challenges which can increase the chances of a successful return to work.
Leadership aspiration
For top female talent that you have identified as having leadership potential, coaching can provide support to help them to believe in their own potential and develop the leadership behaviours and mindsets required to be ready for promotion.
First leadership role
For women that have been promoted into their first leadership roles, coaching provides essential support to set them up for success as they navigate the new challenges of a leadership role. After a promotion, confidence can take a dip and negative self-talk and self-doubt can creep in. Coaching can help to overcome these challenges and build confidence and resilience.
Menopause
During menopause confidence can dip and anxiety can become an issue for women. Coaching can enhance wellbeing and ensure that women going through the menopause feel valued and supported during what can be a very challenging time both physically and emotionally. Gender equity at all levels will never be achieved unless women aged 50+ are supported to stay in work.
If you are a company that cares about gender equity and supporting women to progress in their careers and reach their full potential, I’d love to hear from you.
I will create a bespoke support plan tailored to your company needs and budget.
A little about me
I started my career in 1995 at Procter & Gamble in the Consumer & Market Knowledge department. I was the first person in my family to work in a business environment and in the early days of my career I lacked confidence. My male peers were much more confident to speak up in meetings, cultivate professional relationships and make their work visible. The turning point for me was a new manager who was a brilliant coach. She saw the potential in me and with her support I overcame my self-limiting beliefs, saw that I was just as competent as my peers and grew in confidence. I realised that making my work and myself visible was just as important as doing good work. Roll forward 8 years and I became the head of the UK & Ireland Consumer & Market Knowledge department, and I truly believe that the early coaching I received set me on this path to progress and succeed.
I put my corporate career on hold in 2013 to spend more time with my three children while they were small. I continued working doing freelance consultancy and training work that fitted well around my family, but once my youngest started school I wanted to do something more than this. I embarked on my own coaching journey to figure out the right path forward for my career. I'd always loved the people and team development part of my corporate roles, so I decided to take this in a different direction and retrain as a counsellor and a coach which has given me the opportunity to coach women in organisations and to establish my private practice.
What I love about my work with organisations is that it brings together all my different skills and expertise from corporate, consulting, training, coaching and counselling AND it aligns fully with my passions and values.
